Frank Chapple is Band Director/ Director of Percussion at Keller High School in Keller, Texas where he resides with his beautiful wife and daughter. As Director of Percussion for Keller High School he is responsible for the education of over 150 percussion students on five campuses ranging in grades from 6th through 12th as well as the marching bands and jazz ensembles. Besides working with his own program, Frank is an active clinician and arranger in Texas and around the country.
Frank’s drum corps career began as a marching member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps from 1990-1993. He stayed in Rockford, Illinois in 1994 to begin his extensive teaching career and was on the percussion staff for the 1996 DCI World Champions. In 1997, he moved to the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps where he filled the dual position of Percussion Coordinator/ Snare Tech for three years and was vital in the building of an elite percussion program in DCI.
From 2002-2004, Frank was on the percussion staff with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and in 2005 he returned to the Glassmen for two years as a Percussion Consultant and Snare Tech. From 2007 - 2010 he has served as Percussion and Music Ensemble Consultant for Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. In that time the percussion section and the corps have achieved their highest placements in Carolina Crown history.
Frank was awarded his Music Performance degree from Northern Illinois University where he graduated cum laude. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Percussive Arts Society, and Texas Music Educators Association.
